Team handball was introduced as an Olympic sport in 1936. Invented by Europeans around the beginning of the century, team handball is a hybrid of basketball and soccer but played indoors. Competition Regulations

Tournament Format: Round robin
Rules: International Handball Federation (IHF) rules will apply
Eligibility: July 1, 2003 shall be the determining date for player eligibility. A player may play in an older division, but never in a younger division. Players may play on the Elite Division Team as well as one age group team. Copy of valid I.D. (birth certificate, passport, or Georgia Driver's License) for each player MUST accompany the team roster. Each player must sign the official roster before participating in the tournament. Signed Waiver for each player must be submitted with entry.
Protests: Protests should be submitted in writing within 3 hours of said protest along with a $50 protest fee. Fee will be forfeited if the protest is not upheld.
Uniforms: Matching jerseys and uniform shorts are required and uniform jerseys must have clearly visible numbers. *Uniforms will be provided for Men's Elite Division.
Practice Dates: Men's Elite Only Practice time determined by appointed coach. Venue is Boy's and Girl's Club Pilot Program Site

Venue Directions
Directions to Life University:
Take I-75 South to Exit 261/Delk Road and DAFB (Dobbins Air Force Base). Take exit 261/Delk Road "west" and DAFB (Dobbins Air Force). At the top of the off ramp, turn right onto Delk Road and stay in the second lane from the right. Remain in the same lane, cross Franklin Road and proceed approximately 1 mile to the off-ramp that reads, Marietta, North 41. At the end of the North 41 off ramp you will come to the corner of Spinks Drive and Cobb Parkway (Hwy 41). At this corner there is a traffic light. At the traffic light, turn right onto Cobb Parkway (Hwy 41). Go straight on Cobb Parkway for approximately 1 mile and turn left at the traffic light onto Barclay Circle. Life University's Campus is located on both sides of Barclay Circle. Turn left just past the Life University sign. Gym is on the left.
