TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE/INFORMATION - JULY 10-13, 2008

This is a sanctioned USA Hockey In Line event.  The tournament will be played using USAHIL rules with the following modifications.

Tournament Format/Rules:

Fighting penalties will result in an automatic tournament ejection.

Abuse of any official by spectators will not be tolerated.  Violators may be removed from the building.

The games will not start earlier than the scheduled game time.

All teams will receive a 3 minute warm-up before their game* and a 30 second break between periods.  Please do not enter the playing surface until invited by the officials. The periods (3) are 10 minute running clock.  Stop time in the last 2 minutes if the score is tied or within 1 goal.

*Please clear your bench and exit the playing surface as quickly as possible after the post game handshake.

No time outs during round robin play.

Round robin games can end in a tie. Playoff games and championship games that are tied will be decided by a 5-minute sudden death overtime period.  If still undecided, a four-player shoot-out will be used.  The final tiebreaker will be a sudden-victory shoot-out format.

An 8-goal differential "mercy" rule will be in effect after the first period of play.

Tie Breakers:

 1. Head to head if all tied teams have played each other the same number of games.

2. Least total goals allowed.

3. Most total goals scored.

4. Fewest penalty minutes.

Awards:

Medals will be awarded to all the players of the top three teams in each division.  The medals will be given immediately following the finals in each division to the head coach by the Tournament Director for him/her to present to the team.  The awards should be presented in a location decided on by each team (i.e. team locker room, upstairs lounge, etc.) to allow for photo opportunities for family and friends.

All athletes will receive a Georgia Games t-shirt.

Good Luck to All Teams!
