WELCOME TO THE GEORGIA GAMES! The Georgia State Games celebrated 19 years of district sports festivals and championships with the 2009 Championships! The 2010 Championships will once again descend upon the greater metro Atlanta area in grand Olympic-style. Dates will be in May, June and July. Check sports listing for exact dates. The Georgia Games, an Olympic legacy, began due to the state's eagerness to prove Georgia's interest in amateur sports. The Georgia Games continue to exceed all expectations. The 2009 Georgia State Games Championships will continue to "Keep the Olympic Dream Alive" in the hearts and minds of Georgians as athletes have the opportunity to hone their skills at new venues and against new competition. The Georgia State Games Championships is an Olympic-Style Sports Festival for all ages and skill levels.
